Stake.com has received significant traction from cricket fans during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament.

The leading crypto casino platform witnessed a hefty $100 million wagered on IPL 2024 matches. The “Early Six, You Win” promo saw an additional $30 million in winnings to bettors on Stake.com. The promo was also helpful in attracting first-time depositors as they constituted over 80% of those who won the “Early Six, You Win” prizes. The information was revealed by Jarrod Febbraio, Stake’s Director of Commercials.

As part of its customer acquisition strategy, Stake.com launched a promo that offered prizes of up to $25 to bettors if their team scored a six in the first four overs even if the team faced defeat eventually. In 48 IPL matches, the teams scored sixes in the first four overs in 30 matches, ensuring a 63% success rate for IPL bettors.

European Gaming quoted Febbraio as saying, “We are constantly striving to improve our product and want to make Stake easily accessible to as many players as possible.”

“With more than US$100m wagered this season alone, the IPL is soaring in popularity, and so is Stake. We wanted to spice things up for the 2024 season, and this promotion was perfect for our customers who don’t like cricket, they love it.”

Media reports said before the IPL matches began, Stake.com integrated support for the Indian rupee, which is among the six fiat currencies, other than around 20 cryptocurrencies, that it accepts.

IPL Excitement

The shorter-format 20-over cricket tournament (T20) from March 22 to May 26 will have 74 T20 matches.

IPL is considered to be the most popular cricket tournament in the world. Disney Star, the official broadcaster of IPL 2024, registered a cumulative 448 million viewers for the first 26 matches. While betting is illegal in India, offshore sports betting platforms offer cricket betting to fans globally.

IPL teams have players from all cricket-playing countries who are chosen auctions by the team franchises. The top three players in IPL 2024 are Mitchell Starc ($2.96 million; Australian playing for Kolkata Knight Riders), Pat Cummins ($2.45 million; Australian playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Daryl Mitchell ($1.67 million; New Zealander, playing for Chennai Super Kings).

Stake.com Partners with Hub88

In another notable development, Stake.com partnered with game aggregator Hub88, allowing access to Hub88’s complete content catalog from over 120 suppliers. Besides slots and live casino titles, the partnership allows Stake.com to integrate Hub88’s proprietary solutions such as HubWallet Banking and Crypto Payments into its platform.

Eddie Craven, Owner of Stake, said: “We’ve grown to trust Hub88 implicitly and their transparency and approach to business makes us secure that we are provided with the best content offering with a superior tech stack and back-end support.

“Hub88 is genuinely an extension of our own business, and as a trusted and well-established partner, we’re super excited to take this to the next level.”

Mark Taffler, Commercial Director of Hub88, added: “We will now be able to work even more closely with Stake. and help them boost their business by providing our best-in-class tech offering, content supply, and account management while further adding value by delivering our business-enabling propositions such as Banking, Crypto Payments, and our HubWallet solution.”
