Canadian rapper and musician Drake who put $250,000 on the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) final on Stake.com won the bet with 1.70 odds, taking home $425,000.
The match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 26 was won by KKR. It was a low-scoring match in which SRH scored 113 runs, the lowest IPL final score ever. KKR crossed the target with 57 balls to spare, with a scintillating 52-run knock from 26 balls by Venkatesh Iyer.

Earlier, Drake shared a screenshot of his bet on Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan-owned Kolkata Knight Riders on Instagram where he mentioned this was his first betting on a cricket match.
Over $100 Million in IPL Wagers
Like Drake, Stake.com tapped into the IPL cricket extravaganza for the first time this year. It launched an innovative promo where bettors were awarded prizes up to $25 for each six scored in the first four overs by their teams, irrespective of the outcomes of the match.
